Marty Lewis - Biologist

Marty Lewis is one of the Desert Dog’s
entomologists. What is an
entomologist? Well, it’s a
bug scientist!
As a biologist working out of a lab in Cal State
Long Beach, he is well qualified to identify any creature out there,
insect or not. But when it
comes to insects, Marty is like a kid in a room full of toys.
He can make a cricket seem like it’s the most
interesting thing in the world.
Listen to Marty’s informative descriptions about desert wildlife
and insects, as there are few others who can offer this type of
information.
"When I’m out here, I recognize the true meaning of the phrase
‘Silence is Golden.’ It’s
pretty wild, but I like it," said Marty.
Marty's interests in the desert are to find rare species to add to
his extensive bug collection.
